This project is a perfect example of what truly bespoke kitchen design can achieve when creativity, craftsmanship and flexibility come together.
Our clients approached David J Martin with a clear vision: a modern flush walnut kitchen with clean lines and a seamless finish. While they had a strong idea of the look they wanted, they struggled to find a local company able to deliver it. Many suppliers were limited by standard manufacturer ranges, door sizes or predefined systems — none of which allowed the level of detail or freedom this project required.
Because all of our kitchens are completely bespoke, we were able to design and build a solution without compromise.
A Modern Flush Door Kitchen
Elegant, seamless and timeless.
The kitchen features a flush door design, sometimes referred to as a slab door kitchen. We prefer the term flush door kitchen, as it best describes the smooth, uninterrupted appearance created when doors sit perfectly in line with the cabinetry.
Crafted in walnut, the finished kitchen has a warm, contemporary feel that balances modern design with natural materials. Every element was made specifically for the space, rather than adapted from a standard range, allowing proportions, details and layouts to be tailored precisely to the room.
Bespoke Furniture Beyond the Kitchen
Designed to fit, beautifully.
In addition to the kitchen itself, we also created a bespoke dining table for the space. The client had seen a design online that they loved, but found that available options were too small for their room.
Working from the inspiration, we recreated the design and scaled it specifically to suit the proportions of the space. The result is a dining table that feels perfectly at home within the room — both visually and practically — reinforcing the value of true bespoke furniture.

The completed kitchen is a space that works hard for everyday family life while remaining refined enough to function as a show kitchen. Practical working areas are carefully considered, storage is well balanced, and the overall design feels calm, welcoming and cohesive.
It’s a kitchen that reflects the clients’ vision entirely — not shaped by limitations, but by thoughtful design and expert craftsmanship.
